We took a few blenders down from the shelf for a closer look.

K&R, I like blenders even though I don't use one all that regularly.  I thinned my small collection when we moved a couple of years ago, but hung onto my '40s Waring "rocket ship" to use at the bar, which always elicits compliments, my '60s Sears/Oster with sliding speed control (thanks, Nate!), and my Oster Cycla-trol, which has timer issues that I'm determined to resolve when I feel like devoting the time to doing so.

I'm always on the lookout for vintage glass carafes for these machines and have a stash of spares.

Vintage blenders are so much quieter in their operation compared to today's models, and the "fusion" blade on my Sears/Oster gives it nearly the same level of capability as the expensive Brevilles currently on the market.

Thanks for sharing some examples from your collection with us!

Thank you Kevin for that wonderful video. I have a soft spot for those multi speed Oster blenders. Great to have them all on display.

I donated our Oster

12 speed from the 80's to charity only because our daughter gave us her Ninja when she got a Vita-Mix. We don't use it often. I'm sure the Oster will still be working long after all Ninja's are scrapped out.
