It's more like a 1967 or so model.  A cousin by marriage bought this and its matching dryer when they bought their first house in 1967 or 1968.

It's a 1968 model 700. I have seen a POD with a model almost exactly like this that has the Canadian style cabinet, so I would say there was a version of this model sold in Canada.

That is the EXACT agitator (baffling-yet-nostalgic brown shade and all) that my mom’s Kenmore has, bought from some Sears store in Quebec circa 1973. IIRC, her model had the same functions but with a more 70s console/knobs/buttons (one of which fell off the matching dryer and henceforth operated with a pair of pliers she kept tucked in filter’s pull handle). I’d JUMP on that enduring set if I ever came across it.
