I could use the help of some experienced Maytag experts.

I got at least a couple issues with my A702 Washer.

First being a water leak, I have circled where it's leaking from and attached a picture. I'm not sure where it's originating from..

Second issue/s seem to be electrical related.

I'll try to explain best as I could..
Sometimes during a cycle, the machine will just stop and I'll have to tap on the lid or control panel to get it going again..

Also, when the final dry cycle is finished, I have to physically push the knob in on the center dial, otherwise it will start filling the tub again even if it's pointing to the "off" position. I have already replaced the inlet valve with a NOS stock one so I know that's not the issue..

Thanks for reading.

Electrical issue is probably a lid switch, out of adjustment, or bad. Also sounds like a bad timer, if it wants to keep going after it's supposed to stop.

stops

Most likely defective lidswitch or out of adjustment.Timer can cause that as well.Advancing to next cycle can be timer but can also be defective pressure switch usually that is timer.The leak from your arrow appears to be loose or worn tub bolt.

Thanks to both responses.

@Goatfarmer :

Ok, I have a NOS lid switch on the way already. If the lid switch doesn't correct the issue, do you know if the timer that's used on this machine is the same as any of the later machines?

Part numbers would be helpful if anyone has them..

@Bendixmark :

When you say tub bolt, do you mean one of the three (I think?) that go towards the outside of the tub not the large center nut, correct?
