So I had parts from a DWU9962 I picked up years ago and I assembled them in to a functional machine the other day. I ran the test cycle and everything came back fine with exception of the rinse aid dispenser (since I dont have one with the sensor in it, so the current sensor is unplugged), and a heater fault.

The heater fault doesnt make sense, the wiring is fine, the heater works, and the high limit cut out is closed. I think the sensor not detecting hot water is the issue.

The real issue is at the end of every drain, the machine hangs up on "blocked drain" and stops the whole cycle until someone intervenes and opens the door and closes it. Even when I had the machine in my shop testing it, it still complained of a blocked drain. The pump, hoses, and everything are fine, clear, and proper Maytag spec including the 32 inch anti syphon loop. I cant find anything in the repair manual on how the machine senses draining or how to bypass it. Im suspecting if the machine has a heater issue and a drain issue, that the sensor is faulty EVEN though it tested fine and when ran on a dirty wash it extended the cycle.

So what gives? Any ideas? Is there a way to bypass the blocked drain sensor?
