Early 70's?  Looks like a slide-in model.   Had an aunt that had a similar drop-in model in a new home around '73.  The other homes around them, built over several years had these instead of the drop in.  The builder had gone to pre-built modular cabinets and the slide in was probably easier/cheaper to install.

Greg, wasn't the slide in model the one with the two eight inch elements at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and the two 6 inch elements at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions? That was a nice looking range.

How will children of the digital clock age ever know these positions?

12-6, 9-3 order, I saw a coppertone DI like this at the Habitat store a couple of years ago.  Pics are of a '74 DI with self-clean oven.  My aunt's was manual clean and had a windowed door, but from 72-73.  Also avocado.

Avocado Formica, avocado tile backsplash, avocado sink and mediterranean-brown stained cabinets.  Avocado & gold linoleum floor, naturally.  They brought an older Coldspot refrigerator to the new house which they had painted.......avocado.

Sorry, I meant DI. That was a most distinctive cooktop. The ads were in all of the shelter magazines.
