Manufactured March, 1971 according to GE's date code. This is probably one model above the most basic; clock, but no light or window.

Shaded Avocado

Yes, that little clock from the 50s. At least it has the indicator light over the oven thermostat knob. It's in good shape for its age.

In Spanish, there is reputed to be a relationship, and not favorable, between avocado and abogado, the word for lawyer based on the similarity of shape between  the two because the abogado grows fat off the misfortunes of others.

VOMICADO

TONS of these sold in the south, After 66 for sure, Vomicado didn't come out until 66 71 sounds about right.

I've been

to some Grosse Pointe estate sales, and you see all kinds of old appliances. One had chrome ones from the 50's or 60's, and even a built into a custom cabinet RCA console TV. You get some good stuff if you get to one early. Those old money folks bought good items, and kept them forever.
