Yep it’s a belt drive. Probably 1983-1985.

Can anyone tell me more about it please?

I want to know if its a good design or not and if parts are easy to get.

Have the gas version waiting to be fitted and it says its only 20.000 BTU does this mean its going to be slow?

Thank you Austin

Glenn is correct it is a 1980-81 model and there is a clue in the close up picture of the control panel. The clue is that there is no ring around the word Whirlpool. Starting in 1982 the world Whirlpool had a ring around it on all Whirlpool appliances! PATRICK COFFEY

That dryer looks to be a Speed Queen dryer and they aren’t the worst dryers made but they can get quite hot even when the medium or high temperature is selected. The Whirlpool 29” dryers are good but according to combo52/John L they don’t have the greatest motors in them. All gas dryers made today are 22,000 btus and it’s usually the compact and laundry center gas dryers that are only 18,000 btus or less

Thank you so much for your reply, I imagine I can get a single speed/direction motor relatively inexpensive if I need one am hoping once I get it fitted it will last for some years....:)
