Well I got the motor and pump, unfortunately I was unable to remove the steam element from my pump housing, so I was forced to use my pump, which isn't as nice looking. There was some residue on top of the motor, so I decided it was for the best to use the new impelled and seal kit I had. Here we see and hear it emerging from the steam heating on the main wash of a light steam cycle. Ran it empty with some detergent just to clean it up and test it. Something about the lower wash arm will need addressed. I think those rings in it that it rides on are worn out, hopefully the pump housing isn’t all worn out where it rides. But it is turning.

Thanks for sharing. If the tank, wash arms and steam generator unit have mineral/detergent deposits, try wiping them down or scrubbing them with an acid product like CLR WHILE WEARING GLOVES & GOGGLES. | ||

That one run with Cascade fryer boil took care of anything in there I didn’t like. I believe it had a cycle canceled in the middle of a wash with detergent, it’s not full of deposits thankfully, but it did have a good bit of detergent residue that washes out. Both this time and the first trial, which ended in a drain/cancel, there was quite a bit of suds, it all rinsed out after the wash though, and that got the inside looking and smelling quite fresh.

 Reggie, after reading your OP, I was thinking you forgot to instruct, a la The Pretenders, play this clip loud!
Then when I ran the video, I remembered it wasn't necessary.
Have fun with your machine! I did, until I decided I preferred clean and pretty dishes over a pretty dishwasher, but even so, it was fun while it lasted. I think Nate would agree with me.

Not really It doesn’t have that same bleach smell. I’ve used 2 cases and didn’t get the chlorine smell I wanted. | ||

Well, we'll see how well this thing does, I doubt I'll ever run dishes through it on a non-steam cycle, so we'll see what that gets us. At some point I'll have to run some modern detergent on short wash just to see some less than stellar result, and have to run it again to rid life of all the yibbles and bits.
I've found the cascade still has that same bleach smell I remember, but I'll admit its been 10 or so years since they quit selling it as regular detergent. | ||

I wish I knew someone out in LA! Someone needs to grab that, it’s a rare beauty, and a real Thermadorian Thermador too, not just some fuckaroon that married into the family!
3M marine sealant? Looks like it’s easy entry find. Sadly it’ll be white rather than clear, or better yet, light blue... And come come now Dalai Lama, ye of no faith at all! This dishwasher doesn’t seem horrible or poorly made. And so far it seems to do a great job with the steam cycle, it sure gets the water good and hot! | ||

Thermador DW For Sale In LA
Yes this is the real thing, there is nothing even similar to the WK-TD that is the subject of this fun thread.
The TD DW in LA is actually made of real Stainless Steel, The WK-TDs used cheap magnetic SS for the main tank that often rusted and caused the tanks to be replaced under warranty or even the whole DW to be junked. WK-TD initially tried using this cheaper magnetic SS for the inside of the door but it looked so bad and every scratch started to rust so they had to go with good non-magnetic SS for the inner door. You can tell what parts are the good stainless and what’s the cheap stuff, the inner door, tub, and sump all look different.
Sadly this machine won’t stay too long, mom finds it too loud, so it will either get replaced by the original Whirlpool from 2005, or if I can find a good one, a bisque front KUDS25. | ||
