Probably an early 1960's kitchen, I'd say. That was definitely the time that "wood" replaced "color" for kitchen cabinets. Also, AFAIK, Nevamar never produced a line of cabinets. Nevamar was a manufacturer of plastic laminate (competitor to Formica, Wilsonart, etc.), so whomever fabricated the cabinets clad them with this Nevamar woodgrain plastic laminate. And someone took very good care of the whole finished product!

That kitchen is not from 1947, more like 1961-6.
I do believe that Mevamar did sell cabinets, there is a community near us in College Park of a few hundred homes that was built from 1963-67 and all the kitchens have Mevamar cabinets. While I like the particularly of lamanit cabinets the fake milky wood grain was never pretty, and I love the turquoise counter tops it does not go well with the cabinets and painting the backslash wall area the same color is really in poor taste.
