That range is BOL. I would imagine the house and neighborhood are the same. Those kitchen cabinets are ugly in the extreme. There is nothing horribly wrong with the house, but it's not much and it's not near any of the attractions in the state. It is probably something attractive to some retired persons from the Midwest without a lot of money and no energy to go anywhere or do anything. The garage is too small for storage and a car. A single car garage is almost too small for a single person when it is the only storage you have.

I don't see anything unique or interesting about this house! Is there something I'm overlooking? I have to agree with Tom, sorry...

I just thought it was interesting because everything is original. Most houses by now would have had at least the flooring and appliances updated.

For me the house is too small and plain as well. I'm not a huge fan of most 70s homes like this anyway because the materials used are so boring. Flat hollow core doors, skinny mouldings, unpainted aluminum window frames, nothing above 8 foot (and sometimes 7.5 foot) popcorn ceilings, particleboard cabinets with flat laminated doors, etc.

Nothing particularly wrong with these houses since they were built with sturdy block construction, usually the plumbing and wiring is still ok as well, but largely just boring.

I think likely this was toward the end of the Vietnam era and people who weren't making lots of money at the time needed a place to live that was ready to move into. So these homes were perfect given the time they were built.

Okay. I'll be the oddball.
I think it's cute. And I love the vintage kitchen. Probably best for a single person, or a couple with no kids, who don't have a ton of "stuff".
The wife and I would need more storage space, since we're hoarders.
And we definitely need more than a one-car garage, since we kind of hoard cars too.
I did sell one this past summer, so I'm trying to get better.

I agree Barry, I agree the kitchen is kind of cute. Not really my style, but I can't say it isn't cute.

But I'm with you, not enough room for my stuff either! I need a two car garage or at least a third bedroom! LOL
