Not the range from the early seasons, but it looks very similar to the one she had in Season 4 (1954-55)--it may be in others seasons as well, I just remember seeing this model in an episode from that season (Ricky's mom comes from Cuba to visit and Lucy burns the chicken in the oven.) The model in the picture is possibly a little younger as the seller indicates he thinks it might be a '57 model.
(In some of the episodes, Lucy had a cube tap in the outlet on the right side of her range so she could plug in multiple devices! Her shiny percolator and bread flying toaster.) CLICK HERE TO GO TO reactor's LINK |

It could just be loose or broken connections on the two rear burner elements. If one of the oven elements is bad, replacements can likely be be made to order through -- not by -- a local independent appliance parts store. I got one for my mom's '49 Westinghouse that way. Turn-around time was fast, and it was reasonably priced.
Per the styling, I think the seller is correct with the estimate of 1957. IIRC a '54 or '55 would be more frumpy looking. |

Based on ads I reviewed, I think it's a '54 model. This basic cabinet design was introduced for the '49 models, and used through '57. The '57 line had a different control panel design. |

This range can be seen in the kitchen of the farm house in the 1993 movie To Dance With The White Dog starring Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy. Movies are known for their appliances. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Tomturbomatic's LINK on eBay |

This is one of my favorite designs with the floating controls and TWO 38" Florescent light bulbs to light it all up.
And one of the coolest things is the plug out elements including the worlds first electronically controlled automatic RR element. The neat control for this element used a couple vacuum tubes in the amplifier control.

Well, not entirely off subject since it's a Westinghouse range. Amazon prime video has an excellent documentary on George Westinghouse. It's a must watch.
He was a great guy. I didn't realize he lost ownership of his company "Westinghouse Electric" in 1910 because of finances. After 1910 Westinghouse appliances, etc . had no connection or affiliation to George. So sad to lose a company you started and put your heart and soul into. Thankfully, they kept the same factories, engineers, etc and continued the Westinghouse name and tradition of making innovative electrics and appliances. |
