Great Find! I Wonder What Other Treasures Are There

I would guess late middle 50s and boy! talk about ugly splendor. This range has had pretty tender care because Magic Chef electric ranges don't really hold up that well under average wear and tear. The oven probably does not have top heat during bake. I wonder if it still has an open coil broiler.  Magic Chef electric ranges from that era are pretty rare birds.

My friend Glenna D. had a Magic Chef electric range. They got it in '66 or '67, at the same time as the Lady Kenmore washer and dryer, and bottom freezer Coldspot refrigerator. It was a 30" model. Was kind of surprised they cheaped out on the range, while getting TOL for the other items.

I think the one shown is from the early to mid 60's, based on styling, and the fact it has a grounded receptacle on the control panel.

This is

One of the early Magic Chefs built after Dixie bought the name in 58, What they did was basically convert a gas stove to electric, Its the same basic body as their gas stove, Probably 58 59 or 60,
