I just hope if these new DD Maytags do take the place of KA, that they will have the premium features and warranties the KA machines had. Interesting things ahead. Hope it is all for the better.

I too look forward to seeing just HOW this will pan-out and what those machines will be all about.

LOL Maytag; the American whore, everybody does, er makes and brands them:

Amana
Whirlpool
Samsung
Asko
Magic Chef

Still saddens me

The Big M, Maytag was a great American Icon. Guess any company can get driven into the ground. I guess they would of been eaten alive anyway with steel supply cost, and their employee benefit package. A few signatures on some sheets of paper and poof its all over. Very scary, like they never even existed.

and to think Maytag invented the *gyratator* style agitator, that everyone copied, and didnt they introduce the flex-fins also? in a hundred years the Master wringers and Washpower automatics will still be here...

Are there Direct Drive Maytags coming? OH NO!

When did this happen? The only thing that has been announced so far is the Maytag Epic which is a Duet clone.

I just think it will be interesting to see if WP will keep the current Maytag TL lineup or totally redesign the line.

I guess TL washing has come about as far as it can go and we will be seeing more offerings of the HE variety of machines. Who knows...anybody's guess unless you are an insider.

and didnt they introduce the flex-fins also?

Actually i believe the roto-flex was before the power-fin,...though that did not last long.
