Hobart made?

Did they also make them for Whirlpool, or did they make their own, and for Sears?
I just scrapped a gold Lady Kenmore circa mid 70's. So heavy. Still worked. We used it in the garage, but with just the two of us a long time to fill a bag. Became a haven for spider eggs. I dismantled it so the scrap metal collector didn't have to lift it all at once. I don't think many use one anymore.

This looks like the Hobart design, not sure if WP still used it after the acquisition in '86.

I have a Hobart KA compactor we found new at a thrift store 10 years or so ago.  Have it installed in the garage and we use it for recycling cans, bottles, etc.  It's mostly novelty at this point, but when there's a party it comes in handy.  I wouldn't use it for daily garbage, too messy and unnecessary for our needs.

Whirlpool Trash Masher

was the original home compactor, introduced in 1969. KitchenAid and others followed.
