Requires 220V/50hz service, but here is one's chance to own a Hoover washer and dryer without having one shipped from Her Majesty's lands, territories and dominons.

If I remember correctly...

Rather than just saying made in the UK or made in Britian the rating plate on some Logic machines said something like Proudly made in the Hoover washing machine factory Merthyr Tydfil South Wales!!!!!

This was pre Candy when Hoover washing machines were still MADE as opposed to assembled in Wales :)

Sadly the Logic/Ecologic were probably the last "decent" machines to come out of Merthyr in any shape or form :(

Seemus,
You say the logic/ecologic were the last decent machines. I would say they were the best. but the newwave and classica i've had were both very good.

Wash performance was brilliant and rinsing good aslong as it wasnt fairytabs or ariel liquitabs.

all i needed do was replace the dryer element on as it was a washerdryer. other than that it gave me good service.

So much for being a child of the 80s.... ive never seen one of these before! Nobody round here had one that I know of were they an exclusive model to certain areas of the country?
or mass produced?

Everybody with a Logic i knew had either Darrens model or the 1200 with the most buttons one.
not many 1100s or 1000s. the odd 800 though.

Crewe tends to be Hotpoint zone, I guess because they were made in Llandudno which is not that far up the A55 from here.
another great welsh machine...... I remeber the many day trips into Wales where upon approaching Llandudno my mum used to tell me to look out for the Hotpoint factory from the A55. kept my eyes peeled but i never saw it lol. wonder if she was fibbing to keep me quiet.

Indeed this was the replacement for the Computer Control 1100. I had the A3308 Computer Control many moons ago which was made in 84 i believe which was a fantastic machine, good performer and long lived. The Computer Logic built on that to add extra programmes and Hoover made big improvements in the efficiency of the cycles on the Computer Logic. Some of the cycles on the predecessor I had were not 100% effective and had a "semi automatic" Mixed wash programme.

Didn't have the washer - but we used to have the dishwasher that matched TOL Logics at the time! A Super Crystaljet D7190.
