does anyone know where I might get a new motor...the agitator got stuck asnd it started to smoke ... it still runs but it gets warm its held on by 2 clamps and attached to the agitator by a lovejoy connector joe gil 907 489-2202 port protection alaska

John LeFevre, one of the founders and a museum curator for Aworg has found time to inventory and sell tons of a decades-long accumulation of stock during the pandemic. He's your best bet right now for a motor. When he sees this, he'll probably answer you.

Have seen quite a few of that vintage for sale of late. Sturdy old gals.

How long does it have to run to get hot and does motor sound "funny" or low on power?

it doesn't get real hot now it gets warm and there is an odor maybe left over from the cooking...iam going to load it lighter so it doesn't strain so much.

I have a similar 1948 which is the middle bottom washer. One of our Canadian friends has the first one and posted his beautifully restored model in older threads here.

Yes, Tim (wayupnorth), I had the "Four Star" model, but I donated it to a museum in Bremerton, Washington.

Interesting to see how much these machines would cost in today's dollars!
