Doubt they'll get their asking price, but sure is a beauty.

Well they'll be keeping that '64 for a long time. I'm amazed they were too lazy to paint behind the doors.

I agree with Kenny.  And the style of that fridge isn't even remotely Art Deco.  The sellers must have been living under a rock or they'd know that MCM is AD's replacement re: an overused term for selling just about anything.  Maybe this explains their asking price.

Only $12.55 shipping cost.  What a deal.

Considering it's been painted.... and they didn't do the greatest job.  I wonder how stable the paint is.

If it were the original color it would probably be more likely to sell for something closer to that asking price.

I wonder if that paint would steam off.

In the 90s I found a 70s frig that was actually harvest gold but someone painted it........ with standard flat latex house paint...... and a paint brush.  No primer.  yep.

If this gem is similar......

This is the 30 1/2" wide cabinet model, probably about 15 CF overall.

Often it is a good idea not to paint the area where the gaskets contact the cabinet when repainting a ref.

I have seen many refs ruined because the new paint attacks the gasket material and ruins the gaskets and pulls the paint off as well, plus the turquoise color looks with the interior trim anyway.

Depending on the condition of the sealed system this could be easily worth what they are asking, even though it will probably sell for much less.

We figure to put a new compressor in a ref like this like my brother Jeff did to Louis ref it is worth about $1200 for the repair.
