Well, here’s the best I could do to make authentic White Castles, the way they’re made there:

Though it meant spilling scalding, hot water on the floor, the stove (as I later saw a couple puddles around the burners on my range top) and (Ouch!) myself...

Could get most of them wrinkled to the authenticity and here’s the best I could do for toppings, (and an entire what was left of a jar of hamburger dill slices I just bought) although with my White Castle Düsseldorf hot mustard long used up and gone...

And AMKrayo White Kastle Sliders could never taste greater without that Klassik AMKrayo White Kastle Koffee!!!!

Guilty pleasure!

Are they as greasy as from their reastaurants? I can't eat those, make me leave skid marks, or worse. However, I made the their turkey stuffing once with them, and everyone liked it.

They're an acquired taste for sure. I stopped in at one a few years ago and no thanks.. Perhaps if I was stoned. My favorite go to burger when I'm in your neighborhood is the Hazel Park Hardees . Too bad there aren't more of those around.

White Castle

Funny, the King family founded White Castle here in Wichita, and yet we don't have a restaurant this side of St. Louis.
We do have New-way Loose meat sandwiches, however.

I’ve purchased the frozen White Castle burgers a few times, although I just tear open one end of the 2-pack and heat them in the microwave. They taste like they always have—a bit like meat loaf due to the copious amount of rehydrated onions.

Used to frequent the White Castle on Lake Street—-I think it was Lake Street, anyway—in Minneapolis when I had a weekend apartment there. Many stoned, drunken nights ended with a bag of those iconic sliders. I was young enough not to give a damn that I was usually the only white guy in the place, LOL.

You either love them or hate them; and I totally get it if you’re one who hates them.

White Castle brings back some memories. For a couple of years in the late '00's I parked my car at 3rd Ave. and 149th Street in the Bronx for my commute into Manhattan. A cheap garage, my bank, a whole bunch of conveniences, and a White Castle. They had jalapeño and a couple other spicy versions.

I probably visited that White Castle a couple of times per week. I agree they're something of an acquired taste, but they had such a variety that I never got bored.

Why are all the photos upside down?

Rich-  The photos at the top of this thread? They're all oriented correctly for me.  I have noticed a few problems lately in other threads with upside down photos, though.

My pics are fine as well.

However, on Instagram, which I do not log into on this machine, has rotated my pics more than once upon upload.

Dave's pics are upside-down on my computer but not on my phone ... reason likely being that they were taken with a phone and internally-coded for the orientation such that phones which can interpret the coding will display them correctly but computer browsers (and other phones) can't do so.

Pics aren't upside down for me either. I'm using a MacBook.

I'm using the latest version of Safari on a MacBook, an iPad, and an iPhone (all purchased in 2017). Each device is showing the photos in their correct orientation. Don't know if this info is helpful or not, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Both old Internet Explorer and newest Firefox on my computer have the pics upside down.

Firefox and Safari on my (old) iPhone both have them right side up.  Same for my iPad (which is older than the phone).

Glenn,

I'm looking at them on my phone, and they are upside-down.

By the way, Dave, glad the frozen White Castle burgers turned out well using your steaming method. I have never seen White Castle coffee before.  Your new range looks great!

My apologies for your pics being upside down, here is what I use for my camera and this is the position I take my pics in (the second photo shows “behind the lens”) so sorry if some of your views require turning your screen upside down or standing on your head...

I mean, I use my phone otherwise...

Seems as though what I view on it and even on the big computer turn out normal...
