Looking for a Speed Queen Imperial washer & dryer set. I saw one on eBay last year but missed out.

Imperial Series SQ FL Washer & Dryer

These are very good no nonsense machines that can easily last 50 years with a little servicing and repairing along the way.

The entire cabinets of these TOL SQs are non-magnetic SS so rust will never be a problem.

I sold a pair of used ones of these to a customer that had around 40-45, 000 loads on them from their use in a hotel laundry around 8 years ago and they are still going strong.

As good as these are I would still prefer the current SS SQ pair, the washers capacity has been increased and it has a better balance system and the price of the pair is just over $3000, You can spent that money easily on things like Miele that won't last 1/2 as long and use more energy to say nothing of long cycle times.

It's great to hear that the used pair you sold are still going strong.

The new ones really are nice as well. Even though it's all digitally controlled behind the Imperial's face, I just like the simplicity of the manual knobs and its industrial minimalist good-looks.

I wish they still had a knobbed option for their front loaders like they do with the top loading machines.

I wish they did too, just 4 months ago we sold the last rear control new FL SQ washer we had in stock to a customer of ours here in Bethesda Md.
