Sorry. My devices aren't working properly. I can't contact the seller, and they didn't post a picture.
It's an ad for free scrap metal, in Clinton, MA.
Among the items listed, it says old Maytag washer and dryer (50s).
I have no way to verify any of this. I just thought I'd post it in case anyone else wants to pursue it.

Yikes! I'd be trying to contact them if I was able to get across the border!!  Found a lot of goodies in MA over the years...

They were in 'Whus-tahh'

No pic makes me think they are gone.

My phone is working today, so I sent an e-mail asking about the washer and dryer.
If I get a reply, I'll let you know.

You were right.
I still can't tell you anything about them, but the simple reply from the seller was:
"Sorry. They're gone."
I hope, if they were truly vintage, someone took them for something other than scrap.
I'm guessing someone was probably cleaning out an older house, and they were left from the previous, probably elderly residents.

At least you got a reply.  That's something.

Yep, all we can do is imagine and pine over the what-if's and might-have-beens.

When people say "50s" that can cover a broad time frame I've been finding.  Some millenials will call something that is 15 years old something "from the 50s" because "It was really old stuff, man-n-n.  It was from like the 1950s or somethin'"

Oh well, thanks for sharing.
