Hi. We recently bought a cabin that came with an older Hotpoint stove. Of course I love it, but I know nothing about it. It is a Hotpoint 109RB27. We were thinking it is original to the cabin and from around 1949. Does that seem right? Also, it has a deep well but no pot. Could anyone tell me anything about the pot? Could I search for an old GE one, or are they very specific to the model? Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a pic with me, but it looks exactly like this one I found online.
Your range is a 1947 or 1948 model going by the model number RB27 which was available both years.
Deep well kettles turn up on eBay from time to time. The size is pretty much standard--6 quarts and you have the lid. Another place to look is thrift stores and flea markets. Sellers with a large pile of aluminum cookware will often have a deep well kettle or two. Make sure you get one with a flat bottom.
