Hi David, did the insulation GE sent you help ?
I had an upper end GE DW that would now be about 4 years old if it hadn't been crushed for scrap metal after about two years that drove me crazy with the noise the drain pump made as it cycled on & off and on &. Off.
This DW also had a lot of other faults, terrible racks that were black that you could not see to load, openings so large in the lower rack that large items just fell through and would block the wash arm. In the upper rack items would not get washed in the corners. and finally it started leaking badly under the door and nothing fixed it, hinges, gasket, door catch and finally the CRUSHER, LOL.

David, if you do replae the dishwasher and end up getting a Bosch, don't get an Asenta or Bosh 100, they have the ss tubs on 3 sides and a plastic type of material for the bottom. the rivets holding the two different material together don't do well with the different expansion/contracting of the two different material and leaks ensue. I'd look at a 300 series if you want a Bosch.
Also, Nmassman44 will be replacing 3 year old LG Quad Wash with a Whirlpool or Whirlpool-produced Kenmore after the LG started falling apart too. |

to the plastic tubs? Is that what "annealed" means to Bosch? FYI; My dad had an Asentia model Bosch. First the detergent dispenser stopped working then a trouble code for the circulation pump motor signaled it was bad. It was dead. Scrapped! |

The tanks are not riveted together, the seam is crimped together and sealed, I have never seen a problem with the seam, I actually like the Asenta line better than the higher end models as it is easier to service and install because it is not all enclosed underneath.
Unless you have money to burn I would never spend more than $400-700 on a DW, the more expensive models have more problems and do not end up being kept as long because of high repair costs.
Also keep in mind that European DWs are smaller inside and they are 1/2" narrower so you have less capacity and it may not fill the space between your cabinets as well if you have a full 24" or slightly larger space.
Pictures of a Bosch built KM DW showing the smaller width as installed in a kitchen.
