Hey everyone.
Does anyone have one of these agitators in 15 inch version. Mine is 14 and too short for the tub. I’ll trade. Or buy it from you. Thanks for all the help.
Chris.

I thought that the 3 vane WP/KM agitator was built for the early machines with the 10 pound capacity, and that the Surgilators and Rotoflexes were built for the later bigger 12 pound tubs, even though the 3 vane remained in production for low end models of later machines in the smaller tub format. I did not know that the 3 vane came in a taller version for the 12 pounders.

So, 15 inch 3 vanes exist? Learn something cool every day.

Oh maybe I’m wrong. I thought they did. But maybe not ? I have the exact 3 as in your pics. But the straight vane one is the only one that’s too small.
Thanks for the info. I learned something new today. I guess I no longer need to search for one if they don’t exist.
Awesome pic. Agitators on holiday.

I really like the 3 vane: they have a small foot-print and they roll-over like crazy. In the bigger tub, they will fit over the post and secure easily but there's a big gap between the agi bottom and the tub. I've messed around using it, but without a real load in the tub. There was a weird Whirlpool economy model automatic agitator whose fin plate stopped before the tub bottom, about 2 inches, but a collar then extended to the bottom. Corny looking thing--WHY?

The reason why I didn't doubt you is because of this: You're familiar with the 18 pound tub in the center dial Kenmore's with a dual action agitator. In John's Museum, he has one of those machines, but instead of the usual dual action agi, this one sports a mammoth 3 vane agitator, the same style and color of the 12 pound tub version but enormous. Had never seen it before or since. A real eye-popper and very exciting to watch in motion. His machine hums deep with the power of a small hydro-electic damn. I tried to steal it, but he caught me. LOL

Maybe, he'll take a pic for us all and post it.

I also have a few Kenmore Dials; let me see if they will fit on my Whirlpool. Is the stem or post to attach it to still viable, or is that gone, too? Couldn't tell from the pic.

Hopefully you won't have to wait another 8 years to find one.

The stems and dials I have here are "D" shaped; yours is "O" shaped. Regrets.

Perception is personal, but the height, shape, and number of fins is way off if #9 is really a Rotoflex.

Is there a picture of the 18 lb. Black straight vane anywhere ? I last seen one in about 1979 at a friend's home. It looked much like our 1963 Kenmore 600 series but had the HUGE Bakelite straight vane.

If anyone has a picture would they please post it.
