This is the beginning of the PANK-ening of the Whirlpool WTW5540SQ0.

I'm going to try to find someone who does powder coating for the lid and top. I'll spray paint the plastic end brackets.

No way to do the control panel, my skill set isn't anywhere near good enough for that.

The kick-in at the bottom will be done in black, so no worries about the wrinkles, there. The sides will carry all the way back, for the moment, they're still white.

All comments and suggestions on how others have done this are super welcome!

Apparently, the pink vinyl foil upset the auto-focus on my cell phone. I'll try for better shots Sunday or Monday when I do the sides.

It's astonishing how much 'contact' paper has improved over the 1970's. This stuff is much easier to get bubbles out of, it's dyed all the way through, it's tougher, true and thus less elastic, but the adhesive stays tacky for about 30 seconds after you put it on, instead of setting up at once. Big improvement!
