Thanks. I always just hung it on the door. I guess it helps for extra support, then.

Hi John, The holders do not offer extra support, but rather offer an alternative way to use the SWB, WP called this the AWSWB, you could hang it on the door, hang it on the front of the lower rack or place it in the lower rack.

 

Some users did not like it in the door because the lower rack blocks it when the LR is pulled out.

 

I like it in the door because it is so handy every time you have a dirty spoon etc because you only have to open the DWs door a few inches and drop the spoon etc from counter-top height.

Yeah, on the door is a must for me. I have to use every inch of space I can get. And like you said, it’s nice to crack the door open to put utensils in. The only drawback for me is finding a spot for reusable straws since when on the door, water can’t spray from underneath.
