Looking for a 30" 1959-1962ish Turquoise Range |

I'm having a time trying to find a range. We just got a 1960/61 GE refrigerator, and I've scoured the country, and the only one I can find is on eBay for $1,950, which is untested, and only in okay shape. (They declined my 90% off offer, lol) Please help! The dishwasher is under control, and the range is the only missing piece. Also a 30" turquoise gas range would be acceptable.

I don't know which is rougher - the Frigidaire 40" or that GE. The GE is what I call an "apartment special" - no light, clock or oven window. The Dixie doesn't look bad. | ||

Early 60s Dixie Gas Range This was the range my parents bought when we moved into our house in 1961.
The ONLY good thing about that range was the Robertshaw modulating oven thermostat, It held an even temperature and baked well.
Our Mother who cooked all kinds of good food and deserts gave up most of her creative cooking after trying to do them on this gas range [ We had a 20" electric in the last house ]
The burners were weak and the broiler completely ineffective and the heat it put out into the kitchen was ridiculous even with a good vented range hood that was used whenever the range was on it was hot in the summer and smelly in colder weather.
When it was 11 years old we junked it and switched to a nice Kelvinator build 30 Whirlpool branded self-cleaning electric range and could not believe how well a range could cook and bake and broil. the oven was so well insulated that the heating elements were only on 1 minute out of 15 minutes @ 350 F if you did not have the oven door open.
The old Dixie had 5 pilots burning all the time, Mt Dad who really tracked utility bills said the gas bill went down $6 a month when that range left and he said he never saw an increase in the electric bill [ there must have been some increase ] with 7 of us living in the house and Mom cooking every day.
