Some people say it’s the best dryer they ever owned, what is the consensus around here? I often see them for free like the one in this ad (or even working examples) and wonder if I should bite.

The upper drying cabinet was innovative and worked well, the regular lower tumble is a Norge [ need I say more ]
The gas versions of these are more desirable because you could run both dryer sections at full drying power where as the all electric version turned down the heat 50% in the lower dryer if the upper dryer was in use.
Overall neat appliance but typical of MT cheeping out and making yet another poor durability appliance.
I guess we should be grateful as fully 1/3 of our service business is fixing MT group appliances built before WP took over Mts assets.
I have a brand new one of these in gas that I am going install in my home laundry room that I am remolding now, it will not get much use, the big problem will be the membrane touch panel, I have saved several spares.
