 It's not significantly different from numerous other dryers. Pretty much identical to the Maytag Neptune dryer that I repaired couple weeks ago. 1) LG 2) Neptune I don't have a pic with the blower housing in place but it can be imagined sitting to the left in front of the motor and fit into the center exhaust ducting. | ||

lg and neptune I guess it makes sense that the lg tromm and maytag neptunes may have an identical setup. I think of lg as the extremely high-tech version of the neptunes. I'm also sure that if the lg was open with the inner workings exposed and running, a heavy rush of air could clearly be heard. | ||

Ahhh ... found more Neptune dryer pics in one of my cameras. My Whirlpool Calypso dryer isn't significantly different. You're trying to make something into something that it isn't. :-D 1) Neptune dryer with blower in place 2) Calypso dryer | ||

cfm... How many cfm does it pull? My dryer pulls 215 cfm of air. So why do these dryers rate their airflow differently? are their blowers rearranged ifferently? | ||

SmartLoad is rated 230 cfm with "average" exhaust ducting restriction. The motor runs at 2,300 RPM. Doesn't say what "average" restriction entails. As I'm sure you know, cleanliness of the lint filter along with material, length, number and degree of bends, hood design, and cleanliness of the exhaust ducting all affect airflow rate of any dryer. | ||

lg/kenmore dryer rating I believe mine is rated at 215 cfm airflow with the motor/blower running at 1725 rpm supplied with a 4 elbow duct connection. I hope this is sounding reasonable. | ||

LG Dryer Blowers As Glenn has stated there is not much difference,
Both LG and SS are just thin poorly made copies of WPs 27" dryers, take one apart and just look and feel how cheap and thin the metal is.
And what is up with plastic blower housings, you are just asking for really serious fires with a plastic blower housing.

plastic housing for blowers It's a shame lg and Samsung used plastic housings for their blowers. They could've used a heavy-duty metal to lessen the chance of fires. | ||

Reply # 13 Hi Jerome, There is absolutely NOTHING heavy duty about an LG or Sam Sung laundry appliance, If you want HD look to a Speed Queen front load W&D.
