I have 40-yr old Simpsons-Sears 24" portable dishwasher that requires a new lower rack.

I believe my parents bought it back in the early 80s but this thing is still going strong and washes like no other dishwashers I have since seen.

I'm having a hard time finding any info on it online even though I have all the model info.

Model C110-714260
Serial 55595

I was under the impression it was made by Kenmore but judging by some pics I found online, it looks more like a Whirlpool. Regardless, with the above info, I'm still not able to find any site that recognizes the model so finding a bottom rack for it has been impossible.

I've included some pics for additional help. If anyone can tell me who the manufacturer was and the model that can be used for searching parts, that would be very much appreciated.

The Racks, Door Design with that style of latch, And the Spray Arms is with out a doubt 100% Whirlpool.

In "Sears Speak", a 110 prefix on a model number indicates that Whirlpool Corp. was the source of the product.  I'm assuming a "C" indicates a Canadian offering.  Have you tried the model number and omitting the "C" in your search?

I tried the model # without the C but turn up nothing.

I'm hoping someone would recognize the rack and steer me in the right direction. If the identical rack can't be found anymore, I'm hoping perhaps a similar one can used.

Lower Rack For A WP DW

combo52's profile picture

This is a very common lower rack, any WP DW LR from 1966-1990 will fit just fine.

We sell good used ones for $50 + shipping cost, Most of our used racks are light blue.

These racks may still be available from WP, It is under part # W10311986, it is about $175 from WP.

Long shot but try searching for Inglis dishwasher parts.  They were the same internal designs as the Whirlpool and Kenmores of the day but since they were made in Canada, you may have a better chance of finding racks for one of these dishwashers.  If it helps, the racks for your machine would probably have been in the Inglis 'Citation' model.
