No it was a basic dryer that MT dealers could advertise a low come-on price on and because there was no matching washer for it.
It was only a little cheaper because it was the same as the next model in the line-up in terms of features and quality, few were sold but they pop up once in a while It is sort of like the basic wringer-washer they used to sell, Maytag being more expensive than most other laundry appliances had a hard time competing on the low price end of things.
