I've got a KDS-19 that I've noticed isn't dispensing liquid from the drying agent reservoir tank.

After opening the front panel, I discovered that the black wire running from the circuit board / timer (labeled "RD") was burnt and slightly melted at the connection to the reservoir tank.

There is currently a blue wire labeled "BD" with the same connection that is unused.

I don't suppose I could use this wire?

My concern with simply replacing the black wire with the new one is that it won't address the underlying cause that originally caused the wire to overload and burn out the way that it did.

I'm assuming the underlying issue lies within the circuit board / timer itself but this is honestly nothing more than a guess.

I'd greatly appreciate any insight you wonderful people may be able to provide on solutions I can consider to get this back fully functioning.

Otherwise, everything functions perfectly...

Thank you, in advance, for your time and attention to this inquiry.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend; thanks again!

Burnt Wire terminal On RD Connection

Just replace the terminal on the wire at the rinse dispenser, did you say the wire is also burnt on the timer ?

The wire burned at the RD because of an old and bad connection, this does not indicate any other problem with the DW.
