I am searching for a WR9X164 defrost timer to purchase for my 1962 GE refrigerator. Thanks, Kelly

Can just the motor part be replaced (assuming that's what's dead)?  You might be able to find a replacement motor more easily than the entire GE part.

I am not sure. I will have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion RP2813!

No longer searching...

Disregard post. I am no longer searching for the impossible to find part. I have decided to buy a new fridge. :(

A new old fridge, or a new new fridge?

A new fridge, unfortunately. Not what I want, but it will be more practical and probably fit the space in my tiny kitchen better.

Sad news, but I had to do the same with my '57 Combination, which suffered a much more catastrophic failure, so I feel your pain.

Look at the bright side.  Your electric bill will go down for sure.
