Hi and Thank You in advance! I have an electric Custom Imperial Cookmaster Frigidaire stove model Re-47. Two of my burners are not working. Can anyone help me to find replacement burners and show me how to replace them? |

I think ebay is your best bet for burners.
You can download the service manual from the Automatic Ephemera library for your range via this link ( for a fee of $14.99) CLICK HERE TO GO TO RP2813's LINK |

I have a vintage Frigidaire Compact 30 drop-in range in my patio kitchen. As I recall the burners are quite easy to replace. At most I needed a screwdriver. You might want to de-energize the circuit first (circuit breaker).
And I didn't have trouble about 10 years ago finding replacement burners. If you have an appliance repair shop near you they might be able to help. Or, as Ralph says, eBay.

John raises a good point. Broken wires were the culprit on my mom's '49 Westinghouse a number of times over the years until it landed in the hands of another member here in 2008. Only one burner actually failed in all that time, and only the outer coil on it went bad. I had obtained spares from a junk stove in case this ever happened, and change-out of the bad burner was easy, requiring nothing more than a screwdriver.
I don't know what type of burner elements Frigidaire was using by 1976 -- the fat & flat ones or a more standard looking type. The fat/flat ones are those I assume to have become rare and pricey. |

Ralph...
The one in my town is still going strong. I don't know what's wrong with San Jose.
