Don't think I've ever seen this one before. Whats the story behind this brand?

I love how it's described as a "Sears Kelvinator."  Not to be confused with Nash Kenmore.

Thanks. Is White Westinghouse the same as D&M?

What the wash system like? Does this take 120*F water? Odd creature.

Chet, this dishwasher is essentially the same as the front loading Westinghouse dishwasher brought out in like 1964 or 1965. The racks are essentially the same. It's high up enough in the line it had a water heating option. So it's not D&M. A large apartment complex in college had all Westinghouse kitchens. Had a couple of friends after college that had condo or apartment Westinghouse kitchens. The original tubs were metal/porcelain. I thought they were good cleaning dishwashers and held a ton of dishes.

A Montgomery Wards version of this machine was featured in the “machines of ill repute” series.

Sounds like it was a good machine. Did it have a filter system?

any more info?

On these Westinghouse DW's? I have only the slightest recollection of what they were like having gotten a front load portable from a co-worker back in the early 80's and it reminded me of the Kitchenaid 15 series style pump. I gave it to a
friend's Mom, but never got paid. She was the type that always wanted a dishwasher but hardly ever used it. I would love to see what it looked like back in the day if anyone has any info to share.
Thanks
Steve

Does this use the knock off GE mechanism? I've always wanted to ask- whats the story behind those? First time I saw them I actually thought they were somehow involved with GE.
