What a set--presuming the burners can be fixed.

Just gorgeous!

I'd love to see the rest of the kitchen.  I bet it's (or was) a nice one.

Unfortunately it doesn't have that GM "flair" that a real Frigidaire Flair does. Even a "Fabulous 400" had classy looks.

This Thermador reminds me of the Monarch eye-level oven ranges. They both had a solid look to them.

i agree! This insistence on having the oven practically on the floor is insane. I'd love a kitchen not designed for a Hobbit......

The first General Electric ranges in the 1920s had wall-mounted ovens with glass doors, but these high mount ovens sacrifice capacity. They cannot be as deep as the whole range like in regular ovens and lifting heavy things in and out like a large turkey becomes difficult for most women. Standard cookie sheets do not fit. The glass doors radiate heat right into the face of the cook who might be tending pans on the surface units. I can see why this household kept the wall oven when they replaced the cooktop with the high-oven range.
