Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all good! It's that time of year again, so thought I'd start off a thread to capture any news. Particularly as the on-site event is reduced this year, I'd imagine there will be a lot more online content. I've started to see stuff trickle through so I'll add it below... Please feel free to contribute anything else you find. Adam |

If you have to stack laundry in a tight space it is usually much easier to service if the machine is a ONE piece design, this is definitely true of the US one piece top load stacks and Frigidaire had a FL one for a while and of corse the Speed Queen one piece FL stack is the gold standard for easy service.
I while ago I had to change a bad dryer motor on a SQ FL stack and it took me 15 minutes start to finish without moving the machine, you only have to remove 8 screws to get the front panels off and motor assembly out.

What are the Koreans doing that their machines clean any better ? Even though all of these companies are global in this day and age. Speed Queen and Whirlpool are still US owned companies and have their headquarters here. |

I know for certain that BSH launch a new EU cycle set for DW and new looks alongside. Longer Eco cycles from what I can tell, but only a few models and even less manuals are currently up. Same for any manufactuer cycle wise since they now have to meet the new energy label requirements. Oh, and washers, partly, too. |

I like the looks of that washer. Too bad you have to buy both. I would rather just have that washer as long as it does not have a tilted drum. |

Hi David, add to your list of FL machines that do not have tilted drums, All Bendix FL washers and combos,
All Westinghouse washers after 1958, almost every 24" compact washer built in the world.
All of the original US combos except Easy and about all combinations built in the world today.
It is simple physics that a non-tilted tub will distribute the load better, wash it better rinse it better, be easier on the clothing if clothing is not balling up etc.
You can get away with a tilted machine if the drum is large and the load not really that full.

"Adding to Samsung’s reliable performance is Smart Control +, which learns users’ behavioral patterns to recommend cycles and offer a personalised laundry experience. With this technology, the new Samsung washing machines familiarise themselves with user preferences to suggest wash cycles on its display. Paired with a simple user interface, Smart Control + eliminates the need for users to scroll through cycles to find the right one, or to input their individualised settings each time"
