Hey there. I'm George Donaldson, and live in Pinellas Park. I used to be an active member of AW, when living in Atlanta. Always enjoyed the local wash-ins, as well as those afar. Wondering if any area members are planning a get-together with their vintage washers. I had a 60's Speed Queen, a 70's Westy SpaceMates, and a 60's pink Maytag back in Atlanta. Unfortunately, no more vintage machines for me. In spite of the virus, I look forward to connecting with any local members. Cheers!

George, if you're determined not to acquire any more machines, this might not be the place for you! It could be sort of like a 20 years sober alcoholic who decides he misses hanging out in bars...

Maybe I can't acquire any more vintage machines, but I do hope to make new friendships...always plenty of room for those!

Would the spacemates or the pink Maytag happened to have belonged to Terry at one time?

Hey Bob...

Yes, the pink Maytag originally belonged to Terry, and then was adopted by Bisso. The SpaceMates originally belonged to my Grandmother, and then went to Stephen Kirkpatrick, who I believe recently passed away. Maybe you or someone here can shed some light on his passing.

HI Georgie,

The SQ went to Martin (yogitunes) in New Jersey. You can imagine my surprise when attending my first wash in there and seeing it. Still has a chunk missing on top! I still have the poker.

What was the guy's name who sold the SQ to Martin?
