I have had my Maytag A806 since 1976 using it from 3-10 times a week and with one minor DIY repair it has served me well - especially when I hear about newer machines. Unfortunately I now have the dreaded oil droplets which I assume means at least a new transmission seal and if I repair it I would like at least to replace the tub bearing and stem seal. It's a project that I would love to tackle after a lifetime of various do-it-myself projects including a number of race cars but but no longer can. So I'm asking whether anyone on the Forum knows of a vintage machine repair person or rebuilder in or near Austin, TX. Many thanks! John

Oil droplets in the wash water or leaking from the bottom of the trans?

If the latter, the machine can still run fine for years.
