Hello everybody. Yesterday, I was at Miss Rose's house with the Gutierrez family for lunch after church. I got to test her newly acquired Frigidaire dishwasher which had a noisy pump. It happened during the spraying cycle, but that's besides the point and another subject. The main subject is the washing machine, which is a Maytag 3000 which is the whirlpool duet clone. I ran the machine empty on the normal/casual cycle. What I did was let the washer fill with water and let it tumble for a few minutes to see how much water would enter. I opened the door to find a reasonable amount of water in there. So when I turned the tub, water was flying everywhere, even on medium-speed tumbling. I could not believe it. And this was on the default setting. What style of baffles do these whirlpool/maytag units use? I was thinking the scoop&shower method since there was no recirculation pump. I could've sworn that these baffles had holes in it and they did it to make up for a lack of water recirculation by pump. I wonder how it would handle a normal load.
