What the What?  I've never heard of a Deep Well Coffee Pot.  I'd love to see a picture of it if you find one.

It's unanimous, I've never heard of that before either and I've been collecting GE for years! Keep looking. It will turn up one of these days. If you havent already save a search on eBay and FB marketplace so you will be notified if something pops up.

I found mine on eBay. These were made before large coffee urns were widely sold for home use and shortly after they were introduced, Hotpoint eliminated deep wells on their ranges so they were only produced for a few years, sort of like the deep well pressure cooker craze in the late 40s-early-50s. Deep wells were introduced as an economical way to cook when people feared that electric cooking was expensive. As people found out that you could use an electric range and not have to slaughter a hog to pay the power bill each month, the allure of the deep well faded. Electric range manufacturers still touted money saving measures like cooking with the current off to use the heat stored in the unit by turning the switch off a couple of minutes before the food was done, but having a deep well was not necessary to convince shoppers that electrical cooking was economical.
