Hey guys, I think I know what's happening during normal operation. For example, when I turn the dryer on normal, the dryer will heat on high heat with both elements active, even though the dryer temp is at medium heat to quickly heat the air. The dryer will then turn off the 5400 watt heater for the same amount of time, then come back on for an even amount to maintain temp. I went outside to check the airflow and the dryer air was nice and hot. If I put it on heavy-duty, the dryer heater will stay on longer and come off for a shorter period of time again to maintain temp. I'm shocked that the normal cycle comes more effective over time. The airflow rate is still high. I'll have to continue to do more experiments with my Kenmore Elite (lg) washer and dryer. I never thought I'd love this set as I do when I moved from my old GE set.
