A friend brought me a wringer washer that he found abandoned on a buddies property. I searched it over and found a faint label on the back of the square tub. It says its E2LPS and across from it a faint 7430
Serial # 233397 WU listed At the bottom it says The Maytag Co. Newton, Iowa (I think, that is very faint) USA

I hope to bring this up to it's former glory. Completely useable and beautiful to look at. Knowing the year it was manufactured, will help me in finding the correct parts for it.
Thank you for you time and help.

Maytag wringer build date

Greetings Tracy:

Based on the six digit serial number with "WU" suffix, I believe the build year is 1975 and the build month is September. There is a link below to an old thread here with a Maytag date code chart.

Thank you for the information

Knowing her age will greatly help in getting parts I need. Once I get a power cord (the one on it is in raggedy shape) then I'll know better what operates and what doesn't. I look forward to her return to fully operational and gorgeous :)
