Took a field trip to Oregon and picked up this little beauty over the weekend. Came with owner’s manual and is very clean. It has the countertop lid, too. Never witnessed these in action first hand before but what a powerful machine! For its maiden voyage, I threw in a pair of jeans and a bath towel. Amazing rollover and the spin is amazing! Anyone know the spin RPM on these things? Am thinking this will have to live in my kitchen since its so smart-looking and compact.

Cool find! Whenever I see a Hoover twin-tub, I can't help but think of my late Grandma - like so many folks in the UK, she swore by her 'Oova washer! Seeing this one reminded me of the times I "helped" her with her washing as a brat.
You're lucky to find one in such amazing shape - so often the ones that were sold in North America had a rough life trying to keep up with frequent family-sized loads of laundry... Hoover marketing seemed to aim them at aparment dwellers, though, not families.
Happy washing!! |

Great find Todd, am sure you will enjoy it, it was called "The Hoover Washdog" over here because it was part of the family and could speed through washday, just watch out with long sleeved shirts,
they do have a habit of tangling . Your model was built in North Canton, I think spin speed is between 1, 900 and 2,300rpm. They also have very powerful pump, make sure the hose is firmly in the sink before you switch on ha ha.. |
