Hello,

I have a GE automatic dishwasher ( model GLD5706V00WW ) that is approximately 8 years old.

Recently, during the 'NORMAL' cycle...the dishwasher seems to stall and not want to continue through its cycle. In other words, it seems to be in a stall phase. During this time, it doesn't fill, drain, wash, etc. I need to shut off the breaker, in order to get the machine to turn off.

However, if I select a different cycle ( other than the NORMAL cycle )...the dishwasher will run perfectly and complete its cycle without any hesitations or pauses.

Could this possibly be an issue with the button assembly?

Also, all the filters ( Fine filter, etc. ) have been cleaned and everything is free of debris.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hello Appnut,

There is not an auto cycle with this particular model...only NORMAL, LIGHT, and SANITIZE.

a pic of your dishwasher might help and i would suggest checking the control board to see if power connect to the control panel
