Even a Millennial isn't that stupid. This has to be a post by Gen Z. I think Hamilton was just about the only automatic clothes dryer around in 1941 (someone here will correct me).

I bet I could convincingly sell my 1926 Maytag Model 80 wringer as being built in 1880, lol.

OMG! My 1943 Frigidaire Control-Tower dryer must be worth something after all!!

Lord I wish I could send some kind of a high-voltage shock to people who pull a date out of the air to add to an older appliance listing to make it sound valuable....

It works just like it did in 1941, so I guess it doesn't work at all then, since it wasn't around in 41 to do any work. wink

Poor Leoma, TN - it's such a nice town. I hope Greg (Askolover) doesn't have the misfortune of encountering her when he passes through there.

You'll have to fill in those of us who do not have Facebook account (very curious at this stage).

I can't view the ad.  The image area is a rectangle 4x screen height (4 Pg Dns get to bottom of it) and displays as an animation cycling from gray to white.  None of the ad text is visible.  Rest of the FB page appears normal.

I had the same issue but hit refresh and then the ad and all pix displayed fine.

Ashley's profile link also displayed, and all I could do was feel sorry for this Kardashian-worshiping ditz.  When I saw Dan's request, I thought I'd go back and try to lift a profile picture that would be worth 1K words, but then there was no sign of her profile.  I swear, FB is one sloppy operation, but then again, Gen Z types don't even know what the term "high standards" means.

Disclaimer:

I only have a FB profile -- with a false name and a blank profile page -- because my FWB is totally into the phone game "Ingress" and insisted I create a profile to start playing it (a requirement), which I have no intention of doing because it's a complete and totally convoluted waste of time.  But at least I can check out the links to ads here since so many members have abandoned craigslist.

Millenials and Gen Z.....

Its a crap shoot on stupidity with Millenials @ around 50/50 but Gen Z is 100% dumb as a bag of rocks and clueless LOL. They need to rely on an electronic gadget to help them figure things out in life and cant think for themselves. I checked her FB profile and shes a bit older to be either maybe. Unless she's been rode hard and put away wet too many times lol

Who knows?  She might just be all thumbs, as so many millennials and Gen Z types are.  Maybe she meant to swipe over the 7 and she overreached.  And again, like the average millennial/Z slob, the concept of proofreading is entirely foreign.

Have a few choice of words I could divulge but I'll just keep them to myself.

Thanks for revealing the mystery, Kenny.

That dryer is definitely NOT from 1941 lol. Maytag stream of heat dryers were introduced in 1976 and that is the design the kept until the very end in 2006. I may be Gen Z since I was born in 1999 but I definitely know my Maytags and what years and models certain ones were introduced and a good way to tell what year a center dial Maytag dryer is from is if it has the smaller square door it’s a HOH and ifs a rectangular door like that Maytag dryer is it’s a SOH.

True, but that was strictly for commercial use only.
