By Remington..... I have never used an electric shaver, always have used disposable. At any rate, I have been watching the old reruns of What's My Line tv shows from the 1950's on YouTube and Remington sponsored some of the shows back then. This model Remington was shown at some point during the show, and I fell in love with it. Does it shave as close as a blade? Not quite, but it does shave close, and it is way cooler. I am using it every morning since I got it, but I may switch back and forth from time to time. It's is odd to see something like this, NIB, however some of us have found washer and dryer sets NIB. I would guess this must have been a gift to someone, and that person must have tossed it in a drawer, and never used it.

My Dad had one of these that I inherited when he passed away when I was 11 years old.  When I first began to shave at age 14 this is what I used for the first couple of years when I began to shave.

When I was 17 I received a new Sunbeam electric razor for Christmas that I used until I was 19 when I started to shave with a single blade Shick Injector razor because my beard was too heavy and course for an electric razor.  But the Remington Roll-A-Matic was really a great beginners razor.  If I recall it also had an adapter to the car cigarette lighter, I think thats why my Dad bought it in the first place.

I remember seeing That Remington with the case in my Dad's closet when I was a kid. I don't recall him ever using it however. He was a diehard Philishave user which is also what I have used from the time I first started shaving and received one for Christmas.

I love the "What's My Line" show so much. What I like best about them, is the fact that you can see these famous (and some not so famous) people of long ago, and they are not acting a "part" So you can see them for who they are, to a certain degree. This shaver is very cool! It has the 1950's styling to it, the quality, plus the weight. It is also, fun to use. My father always used Norelco's. I left home at 17, but during the time I lived at my parents house, my father used Williams Lectric Shave, and a Norelco. The first one was a gray and white two head, non floating, and the second one was a black floating three head.

My Dad....

.....had one just like the one pictured. In the "old days", bathrooms didn't have counters so he kept it on the top of the toilet tank. Somehow, I knocked it into the toilet and drowned it (this happened when I was VERY young, of course). I think he began using blades to shave with after that!
