Anyone know how to remove this hose from a Whirlpool/Kenmore belt drive washer?

Trying to remove this hose from my 1963 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer and I believe it should come out easily but I just want to double check so I won’t chance breaking anything. It’s the hose that’s apart of the lint filtering/dispenser system.

so much for a picture is worth a thousand words.....

but if were talking about the Magic Mix Dispenser Filter.....

lift the top slightly, undo the screw clamp, and slide off hose....

but that is just my masterful understated observation....

YMMV

Here’s a picture of the hose I am talking about. It’s on the left side of the machine where the bleach and fabric softener dispensers are

that port is for the "J" hose that feeds the pump for the filter.....

and in your case, they incorporate another spout, to pull in from the dispenser...kind of a cool design as it would mix the solutions with water before introducing to the load...

just simple clamps and hoses......

some hoses may get stuck on there, so yeah, use caution when trying to remove them, that vintage plastic can snap...for the most part, if it aint broke, dont fix it...

Sean, this is someone else's photo you're using for the example (with the hose already removed)?

Or it's your photo and you want to remove the plastic elbow?

It’s my photo of the plastic elbow. That’s the best photo I could get at the moment.

So, you want to remove the plastic elbow?

IIRC, it mounts from inside the tub.  Don't pull or twist on it from outside.

It looks like I’ll take the tub out. Planned on taking the tub out anyways but I am scared I might end up braking the original Surgilator since it’s a Bakelite type plastic and if it does end up braking then I will be out of luck since I have no clue where to source those original Surgilators from.

Removing The Bakelite Agitator From A 1963 WP Washer

Is easy these do not get stuck badly, just remove the cap, if it does not lift right out pound down on the skirt with the palm of your on opposite sides and it should loosen up and lift out.
