Does this qualify as a "Bob Load"????

top rack

Electrasol tab in main wash cup. Only on these types of loads do I use a tablet, and a bit of powder on the door for prewash.

Everything came out clean except the 2 custard cups in the front left corner of the top rack above the coffee cups. Pots & pans cycle with hi-temp wash, sani-rinse and Turbo zone options. About 90 minutes to wash & rinse....air dry

Top rack clean..except for 2 two custard cups in the front left corner...double decked above coffee cups.

John, it most certainly is bestowed the BobLoad seal of approval. I"m sorry the custart cups didn't come clean. With respect to that after-the-fact knowledge, I think I would have put the 3 salad type plates in the bottom rack under the blue oblong pyrex cassarole. That would definitely be creative loading. Thu, you could have the custart cups directly exposed to full spray force. I'm 99% sure those would come clean in my soon-to-be 20-y/o PotScrubber 1200. But since I've not gotten to play with this type of load in a modern two-pump TT, I am wondering if I would also experience the cleaning problem on those cups you experienced with the less-force spray than my GE

What model dishwasher do you have? Which generation of TurboZone?

Post# 160720 , Reply# 8   10/16/2006 at 18:37 (6,399 days old) by coldspot66 (Plymouth, Mass)

Turbo Zone option works VERY well, if you can manage to rack pots facing the back of the lower rack.. The round Corning dish on the left had a Top Round roast in it that I micro-convected. It had baked on onion soup mix all around the rim. The casserole to the right had oven roasted potatoes baked on as well.......... TA DAH!! THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love your cassarole dishes.

Bob- You are right, I should have put the salad plates underneath the Pyrex baking dish, which wasn't that dirty. The corners of the top rack are the weak spots in these machines. But I have to say, for the amount of water it uses, it does an excellent job....It is the best cleaning d/w I have ever had. (Enzyme detergent helps too)!

Hi Jonathan,

Kenmore Elite with 1st generation Turbo Zone.....of course now they have Turbo Zone with ROTATING jets....always a day late and a dollar short...maybe I can order the rotating ones and replace them in my machine...they look to be the same size otherwise!

John, it's just part of my BobLoad essence. I can usually look at a loaded dishwasher and move things around a bit if I think something may not come clean. I even do this in my own dishwasher. A big load can get rearranged several times until I'm satisfied all that can be stuffed in and expect to become clean will occur. But you did so well, looking at the pics almost sends chills down my spine!!

Well I had to do it; here's some pictures of the Haier with a load of dishes. the top rack is completely full, and the bottom has a little room left.
But here we are.

here's the top rack, full of nasty glasses.
as much as i want to hate this machine, i can't. it performs quite well for the piece of trash that it is. i'm also happy with it's larger size over my old mid-90's Frigidaire that broke a few months ago.

i didn't take any post-cycle shots cuz...well, everything came out spotless.

I smell pre-rinsed dishes!

Nice job John, I guess I'll have to post some pic's of my machine loaded as well, to me it's more fun than a jig-saw puzzle!

Although I think I would have positioned the custard cups underneath the 9x13, and I would have separated the electric knife blades. Also I would have removed the 3 tall glasses from the corners of the top rack and placed them where the 2 closely placed bowls are (top-rack, front, center). Then I would have placed 1 of those bowls around 1 of the 3 re-placed glasses, and the other bowl behind the wooden spoon facing the back.

Now, imagine doing all this while being timed!

Aaron, I couldn't agree more, it is like putting a jig-saw puzzle togethre, to me that's part of the fun. The other part is, just how disgusting a stuff can I put in and it will get all nice & clean.

John, I decided to check with a Haier authority for designation approval, and the decision was, it's a BobLoad!! Congratulations!!! It is reverse of my GE-more dinner plates fit on my lfet side than right side.

YAY!

johnb300m's profile picture
it's as "bob" as i could get it. we were out of glasses!

pre-rinsed? naaaaahhhh!!!!
i'm a scraper. i will only rinse dishes if they're caked with thick tomato sauce or oil. otherwise, they go in as is.

what's cool over the old frigidaire, is you can hear the clicking and shreding of the hard food blade when the machine's running.

i'm also amazed at how this thing gets dishes clean while all the jets are aiming inward, instead of up or outward from the spray rotor.
the GE style tower does wonderfully on the top rack, even in the corners!
