I’m tempted to pick up a Bosch front loader from a family friend. The dryer died. She had her fair share of problems and decided on a new set.

The washer on the other hand, still works. Keep in mind she had 5 kids and probably does 5 loads a day. The front plastic piece is busted off and has a mold issue in the door boot. She said Washed exclusively in cold water. Washer was purchased in March of 2007. Pretty impressive, really. I have collected Neptune’s but, Bosch nexxt series is pretty cool. Worth picking up?

Ps. My wife does not care. Lol

Does it have an onboard water heater for uber-heating?  You'll need that to clean up the cold-water smutz, short of full disassembly.

I have a good friend in Cleveland who really likes these washers, so grab it and play with it if you like,

The dryers left a lot to be desired.

If this is that uber sized Bosch washer check to see if parts are still available. Bosch discontinued their large washers/dryers either just before or shortly after Miele stopped the 4XXX range.

Bosch Nexxt were pretty cool washing machines. Remember looking at them and various literature when they were first launched.

Washer does have a heater...

There is a "boosted" hot water setting (155F IIRC), and "XXXtra Sanitary" which heats hot tap water to about 175F or thereabouts.
