That's a bit lower-featured sibling to our 1962 LJA320 which had two knobs in a vertical orientation for water level (top) and temperature (bottom). The dryer is akin to Granny's 1972 LXE (in avocado) but hers had a side-swing plug door instead of full-width hamper door.

WP must have kept this design for quite a while. My sister and her then-husband got a WP washer with similar panel and controls handed down to them in the mid '70s but I'm pretty sure it had a white agitator. It also had the dreadful "bed of nails" lint catcher that CR justifiably considered a PITA to clean. The machine was still there and running fine when my since-divorced sister moved and left it behind in 1985.
No surprise that pushing a year later, the seller still has both of these machines considering the asking price. |
